Peacock Medicare Ltd have been providing high quality care to older people for over 30 years in West Lothian and opening Elsie Inglis Nursing Home in Edinburgh.
About Elsie Care Home
Elsie Inglis is set within the original Elsie Inglis Memorial Maternity Hospital (EIMHH), from which it now takes its name. The home is situated on the very edge of Holyrood Park, with panoramic views of Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags with private access to the many paths and features of the Royal Park.
The home is a completely new, fully refurbished entity, providing 49 premium rooms with full shower en-suites and includes everything associated with a modern, fully compliant care home.
Under new management the home is now open, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the team at the beginning of the new Elsie Inglis journey.
Current Opportunities
We have number of opportunities for experienced as well as newly qualified Registered Nurses to join our team. We have vacancies on day and night shifts with shift times are as follows:
Day shift: 0745hrs– 2000hrs
Night shift: 1945hrs – 0800hrs
Main roles and responsibilities
Your main role as a Nurse in our Care Home is to support our residents with their medical, emotional and social needs. You will lead your team in ensuring each of our residents receive the highest quality, person-centred care. You will plan, implement, evaluate and record the care given to residents and make sure our residents' care plans are accurate, personalised and kept up to date. You will help induct, train and supervise colleagues and junior members of staff ensuring they are confident in their role. You will be also responsible for medication management of our residents with the utmost care and attention, ensuring correct procedures are followed at all times. You will promote the independence of our residents and ensure they enjoy a good quality of life and retain their dignity, choice and individuality.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you will be a qualified Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, a strong knowledge of professional Health and Social Care Standards as well as strong clinical skills. You will ideally have experience in a similar role and in leading a multi-disciplinary team and acting as the Nurse in Charge.
You must also have right to work in the UK.
