It's an exciting time to join us here at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) as we continue to develop and invest in our services as well as our staff.
We are recruiting International Mental Health Nurses to CNTW and are particularly looking to hear from Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses who have passed their IELTS/OET and completed or in the process of completing their Mental Health Nurse Test of Competency (CBT). As part of your application, please state your Mental Health experience and your current NMC application stage.
We are looking for highly motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Mental Health Nurses with excellent values who can demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal qualities. You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well within a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment dealing with unpredictable situations whilst remaining focused on providing a person centred approach to care and treatment.

Initially, you will join the trust as a Band 3 nursing assistant whilst working towards passing your OSCE in Mental Health and becoming a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health/Learning Disability). You will be provided with bespoke training and support to enable you to successfully complete your OSCE exam and register with the NMC as part of the Mental Health Workforce.
The position requires shift work, including occasional nights, on a rotational basis.

This is an exciting time to join the Secure Care Services CBU as redevelopment and expansion has commenced which will see our Medium Secure Units relocate to our new Hospital known as Sycamore Unit in Morpeth, Northumberland in early 2023.
