Main ResponsibilitiesThe role
You’ll join an established team, taking care of the staff meals in the breakout canteen. On a day to day basis you’ll bring your creativity and passion into your work, inspiring those around you to do the same! The lunch service provided consists of buffet style food where you will prepare a mix of lunches from pasta to salads, jacket potatoes and chicken as well as adding your own spin to the menu!
As well as the creative side you will also be responsible for:
- Checking all orders received are in good condition, any substandard goods are returned
- Ensuring all related food hygiene regulations are followed by yourself and the kitchen team
- Promote and maintain a high level of hygiene in kitchen using cleaning schedules
- Maintaining a positive professional atmosphere throughout the kitchen area; lead by example and assisting where help is needed
- Helping to train, supervise and motivate the kitchen team
- Assisting the Head Chef in reducing wastage
About you
As a valued member of the kitchen team, you’ll have a passion for great food, an eye for detail and the drive to maintain and improve standards. It is essential that you have experience in a similar role and business with personality that shines!
