Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity within Resource Industries Operations & Products Division (RIOP) for a Business minded Staff Accountant who will support the Articulated Trucks facility. Reporting to the Business Costing Manager this unique opportunity will include:
Calculation of monthly inventory material price variances and investigation of aged/unusual items.
Monthly truck costing analysis
Monthly Product Line Cost Reporting.
Support Quarterly and Annual budget Product Line preparation and submissions.
Collaboration with Operational leaders to establish labour efficiency targets and track performance
New Product Introduction (NPI) financial lead on programs including future cost, should cost, alternative analyses and strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity to be a fundamental part of the Articulated Trucks future with job responsibilities that directly support our strategy for long term profitable growth including investments in technology that facilitate fuel transition, operational efficiency, and reduced emissions.
This position will allow you to expand your product knowledge, grow your operations understanding, act as a trusted business advisor for the Product Line teams, and obtain valuable exposure and experience in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will accomplish a high level of complex and/or technical analysis, analyze various outputs e.g. via Monte Carlo modelling, advise others (both accountants and non-accountants), resolve issues and communicate these outcomes.
Required skills, qualifications and experiences:
CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
Extensive background in accounting and budget development
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
Capable of working both on own initiative and within a team
Desired skills, experience & qualifications:
Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its products, policies and procedures
Highly motivated and driven
