The Sr Strategy & Planning Associate will support the Strategic Initiatives vertical within the UKI Delivery Strategy & Planning team. This is a great opportunity to deliver a major impact in one of Uber's largest and most competitive markets.
You will scope, build and implement key strategic programs and projects critical to the delivery of the overall UKI strategy, working with cross-functional stakeholders and functions to solve ambiguous and complex business problems
Use quantitative and qualitative data and insights to build strategies and inform decision making on the key strategic questions, and deliver high impact projects and programs at pace
About The Role
The UKI Delivery Strategy & Planning team supports the UKI Uber Eats Leadership team to define our strategy globally, as well as working collaboratively with global functions and markets to assist with identifying areas to improve alignment and execution. The Sr Strategy & Planning Associate sits at the intersection of strategy and implementation. The role is responsible for the delivery of critical cross-functional strategic priorities for the business, building and implementing projects, programs and capabilities which solve the most pressing challenges and opportunities for the Uber Eats UKI business.
What You'll Do
As Sr Strategy & Planning Associate, you will deliver high priority strategic initatives to respond to the most pressing needs of the UKI Delivery business, leveraging cross functional teams, and delivering projects and programs critical to the execution of the overall strategy
Translate ambiguous questions, drive analysis and synthesise findings into clear strategic recommendations to leadership, using quantitative and qualitative data to build strategies and inform decision making
Build and incubate capabilities and operations through the full project lifecycle from strategy and scoping, design and build, implementation and integration into the business
Identify operational and structural weaknesses and help improve existing or develop new processes to keep the business as efficient as possible
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in related field, including consulting, technology, analytics, operations, and strategy
Preferred Qualifications
- A great communicator - Work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive decision making, alignment and implementation of strategic initiatives
- A "driver" personality - biased toward action, phenomenal collaborator and excellent simplifier - you're constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
- Outstanding stakeholder and program management - the ability to deliver through others - mobilising cross-functional groups with competing priorities to solve business problems by implementing well designed programs and projects
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking - ability to independently scope and address ambiguous and complex problems, using data and analytical thinking to build practical recommendations and plans
- An entrepreneurial attitude - the ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast paced environments working across multiple teams and functions
