Job description

The Sr. Manager of Project Management is in a key position within the organization with visibility into all elements of the company and responsible for both client communications and the assorted departments that are engaged in creating a VICE project from concept through execution.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Owns senior-level client relationships and works to contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day program operations.
  • Ensures all active projects are running smoothly and efficiently both internally with the commercial team and externally with the client.
  • Ultimate point of accountability with clients ensuring clear, ongoing communication, and connection between the program and client brand strategy.
  • Managing a team of project managers within the department.
  • Leadership and guidance across the commercial teams (creative, media, production) executing programs.
  • Manage relationships with editorial teams
  • Provide thought leadership to help guide clients across existing projects and identify renewal or additional opportunities.
  • Work with the sellers and media strategists on how to best structure an opportunity,
  • Take on non-project tasks including resource assignments, reviewing workload, issuing executive updates and other operational and management duties.
  • Available as a senior level resource to sales and publishers.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-8 years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, digital, video production, agency or direct marketing experience
  • 4+ years of demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships – strong client references are necessary
  • Experience managing teams of 3+ people and larger cross-discipline teams 30+
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and provide direction to other members on the team with track record of leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis in content/digital strategy, technology, and new/emerging trends
  • A significant understanding of project management and delivery of interactive and offline communication initiatives and strategic brand management initiatives
  • Possesses strong knowledge of contract interpretation and negotiation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and functions beyond accounts
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinking and analytical problem solving
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
