Job Description Summary
We're seeking a SQL Server Developer to join our MI Hub team. You'll be responsible for the provision of data and collaborate with the Commercial Bank to support performance management. We're working to expand the capability we have to help the business analyse and manage their performance through insightful data sets.
Job Description
About Us
The Coverage Tools team is part of Data Infrastructure which sits in Commercial Banking (CB) Data Services within the CB Delivery division.
In CB Data Services, our mission is to safely unlock the value of data for CB. We aim to drive a competitive advantage for our clients and the group by creating confidence in our data and enabling impactful insights to improve the client experience.
About the Role
You’ll be joining an existing team of developers that work in a fast agile environment. Working with the Business Performance team and colleagues from the front line network to understand how we use data to drive performance discussions and decisions, and ultimately positively impact customer outcomes.
We have designed and developed our suite of reports, which makes data readily available through automated solutions. That reporting is handled by SSRS reports and is accessed by users via an application we have developed called the MI Hub. We're looking to expand this capability onto Power BI to help with analytics and data driven decisions.
What are we looking for?
Having experience within a Commercial Banking environment with an understanding of financial services products would be helpful, but is not essential. More importantly, you're a dedicated developer, with a passion for making data work for colleagues.
In this role you'll demonstrate;
- Ability to work as part of a development team with responsibility for the end to end development of new and enhanced data feeds, data processes, data layers and reporting.
- A comprehensive experience of SQL Server and in particular developing and supporting SSIS and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of BI reporting toolset e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects
- Ability to deliver at pace in an agile development environment
- Proactively engage, build and maintain relationships inside and outside the team. You can communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Innovation to enhance architecture and processes.
We operate a hybrid working style with an expectation to be in the office two days a week. We also know that 'normal' office hours aren't always doable and, whilst we can't accommodate every flexible working request, we're happy to be asked.
We'll also give you a broad remuneration package which includes:
- A performance share bonus
- A generous pension contribution
- A flex cash pot you can adjust to suit your lifestyle
- Private health cover
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Various share schemes including free shares
