SQL Server DBA – Platform Team
Location: London or Swindon – hybrid 1-2 days per week in office
Term: to end of December 2023
Rate: up to £430 per day (inside IR35, via Umbrella Company
Job Description:
Platform Team - SQL Server Database Administration, Virtual Machine Storage, SSIS, Windows and Database general knowledge to support projects.
Key role in CHAPS and SWIFT EoSL work.
General DBA type support of the SQL platform;Scripting of SQL builds
Knowledge of High Availability
Knowledge of underlying storage design/best practices; Knowledge of High Throughput/Low Latency solutions
Hands on experience of database administration and specifically on databases using high availability groups, low latency, understanding of storage/resiliency and spreading data across multiple disks.
The databases that will be supported run the main Payments system so just the faster payments part is handling about 6 million transactions a day
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
Salary: Up to £430.00 per day
