Job Description:
As a Sports Trader or Specialist Trader , you will report directly into one of the Team Leaders or Head of Soccer & Tennis or the Head of General Sports, dependent on your sporting expertise. You will be responsible for the trading and potentially expert pricing of all sports that fall under the UK remit, whilst offering support to the US trading teams. You will have direct impact on revenue generation & profitability, a focus on in-depth analysis, collaboration with development teams, and working with senior management to develop internal systems, processes, and models. You will be integral to the development of intelligent trading systems & processes to ensure the strategy of turnover growth & profit maximization is achieved.
We are hiring for two levels , Sports Trader and Specialist trader (Senior) . Based on your experience and expertise, we will be providing an offer that is the best fit.
How you will grow with us:
- Leverage your expertise in sports to price all events & markets that fall under the UK remit, using our technology platform to make important trading decisions
- Use your critical thinking skills to react effectively to information to optimize turnover and bottom-line profit, prioritize and resolve issues and manage risk
- Conduct analysis to help the business improve profitability, operational processes, & offering
- Present to leadership analysis on identification & evaluation of trading opportunities, pricing & trading strategies, model development & customer profiling
- Work with all members of the trading teams in both the UK & US, to assist the development of models, systems, and strategies to enhance the product & customer experience
- An atmosphere to try new approaches and shape the strategic direction & the growth of the product
- Help develop & upskill other traders and make key decisions across the trading floor
- Assist with reporting requirements as directed by management team
Required Qualifications
- Intellectual curiosity and innovative & proactive mindset, constantly aspiring to improve the product & systems with a strong desire for continual progress
- Excellent sporting knowledge and proven track record of outstanding trading performance & vast trading experience (Preferred minimum 2 years of experience)
- Quick to learn new skills & system, with extremely strong numerical & analytical skills and ability to analyze & manipulate data sets effectively
- Ability to react to change and embrace new trading models & technologies
- Effective decision making, able to make quick & sound trading judgements under pressure
- Strongly motivated, to work individually or part of a team, without supervision
- Able to build effective relationships with peers & management, high level of collaboration, and very approachable with a strong desire to help & develop others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experienced in working in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
