It is a really exciting time to join the Reach family as we are now looking for a Sports Multimedia Producer to work with us in Manchester.
We are looking for a Sports Multimedia Producer to expand Reach’s Video and audio offering across the Manchester region, working closely with our Manchester Evening News team. This role will focus on Manchester United and Manchester City as well as boxing and other sports opportunities.
The successful candidate will be expected to create industry leading original video content across platforms such as Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify and our website.

This role is a temporary position on a fixed term contract and will initially be for 12 months.
This role is home and hub based linked to our Manchester Hub. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around Manchester.
What will the role involve?
- Play a major part in growing our Manchester is Red (Manchester United) and Talking City (Manchester City) multimedia brands, and beyond
- Capitalise upon the biggest sports multimedia opportunities across the Greater Manchester region
- Staying on top of current affairs and able to react to breaking news
- Be a part of and attend boxing fight weeks, media days and press conferences
- Create and attend interview/podcast opportunities and general sporting themed events across the region
- Create industry-leading original video content
- Flexible approach to shift working
- This role includes weekend working and unsociable hours
Who are we looking for?
- NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law
- Can self-shoot, edit and present to camera when required to a professional standard
- Proven track record of generating compelling ideas and executing them with first class filming and editing skills both in-house and on location
- Use industry standard editing software via Adobe Suite such as Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop and Audition
- A demonstrable understanding of how bespoke video formats suit different platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, Shorts, Stories, Reels, Snapchat etc.)
- A proven people-person and an organised self-starter, able to work and communicate with our editorial terms and external stakeholders to create industry leading content
- An understanding of social video analytics across monetisable platforms
- Used to working to tight deadlines and can show an awareness around the demands of content publishing along with a strong knowledge of football and desirable knowledge of boxing and other sports
- Knowing copyright laws with regard to using third-party content taken from social media
