Responsibilities: Sports Instruction and Training: Deliver sports coaching sessions and training activities tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs. Use sports as a tool to enhance physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence. Adapt coaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting them in developing their athletic skills and self-confidence. Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students with special educational needs can thrive and explore their sporting potential. Collaborate with teachers and professionals to develop personalized sports-based intervention plans. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the school team, parents, and outside agencies to create a holistic support system for students. Contribute to individual education plans (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary meetings and reviews. Requirements: Previous experience as a Sports Coaching Mentor or similar role working with individuals with special educational needs. Strong understanding of different special educational needs and knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Passion for using sports as a therapeutic and educational tool.
