Role Summary: I am currently working with a friendly and progressive education and training provider who are looking for a highly motivated Duty Officer to join their Sports Centre team and deliver a customer-focused service to our learners, employees, and members. While on duty, you will oversee the Sports Centre’s daily operations, including customer service, health and safety, and booking management. As a member of the operational management team, you will provide leadership and support to staff, covering planned and unplanned absences as well as class supervision when required. Requirements: Level 2 Gym Instructor or similar qualifications Level 3 Fitness/Sport/ or Leisure management qualifications Experience of delivering Fitness Class or Fitness Instruction Experience of working in a supervisory capacity in a leisure environment First Aid at Work Qualification Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for the daily operations of the leisure facility, such as conducting building inspections, maintaining cleanliness and appearance, providing good customer service, and generating income. Ensure efficient use of financial and non-financial resources to establish and manage budgets, while also improving services. Deliver and maintain a high level of service when interacting with customers, colleagues, and visitors at the sports facility. Participate in monitoring and maintaining the sports facilities, equipment, and assets to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use. Report any issues following the appropriate procedure. Mentor and monitor the performance of fitness staff, apprentices, and sports coaching staff. Inform the Sports Centre Manager about staff training needs and assist casual staff with in-house development, in collaboration with the Sports Centre Manager.
