Overall Purpose of the Job

The vision of UoM Sport is that we want to create a happy, healthy and successful UoM community through sport and physical activity. We will do this by delivering a high quality sport and physical activity experiences for everyone at every level.

Our objectives within our new strategy are:

  • Increasing & retaining UoM Communities within sport, physical activity & wellbeing programmes demonstrating impact.
  • Enhancing the quality of experience for those engaged in our programmes & facilities.
  • Improving our systems, processes & insight to ensure we are efficient & effective in all areas of programme delivery.
  • Developing the vision for our sporting estate to meet the need of our communities long term.
  • Creating and Embedding Equality, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion across all areas of our work.
  • Embedding a culture of performance across our people and programmes, demonstrating success on & off the pitch.

We are therefore seeking an exceptional person who can lead our Sport Facilities forward working collaboratively with colleagues across the Directorate and wider university. The individual will be key in supporting these objectives within their strategic remit, supporting and leading colleagues in being successful in their role through a people centred approach.
