2Funky Arts: Sponsorship Consultant Wanted (Freelance)
Overview
At least 8 days per annum at £400 per day (year 1), plus commission to be negotiated. Depending on success of this post (target driven), hours may increase, and this contract may be extended for a further 2 years.
2Funky Arts is a not-for-profit social enterprise, based in Leicester City Centre – championing excellence in Black music and arts. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Sponsorship Consultant, to secure support for our events and projects and advocate powerfully for our brand. 2Funky Arts has been confirmed as a National Portfolio Organisation as part of Arts Council England’s 2023-6 investment programme, and this post is part of a team expansion.

Based in Leicester, 2Funky Arts manages collaborative programmes of artist and community engagement. Since 2007, 2FA has pioneered bringing new artists to prominence, developed emerging talent, & advocated nationally for the iconic value of Black music.

Job Description
Reporting to: The Director
Key Tasks:
- Use project profiles, provided by us, to promote our projects to potential investors.
- Attend networking events to advocate for our organisation.
- Form strong relationships with local and national businesses and secure investment.
- Help to raise our profile locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Provide evidence of contacts made and progress achieved.
- Negotiate contracts with potential sponsors.
- Contribute to 2Funky Arts’ growth and income generation strategy.
- Work with our Director and Development Manager to galvanize organisational development, in accordance with our business plan.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong business connections locally, regionally and/or nationally.
- A proven track record in generating sponsorship income for not-for-profit and/or corporate organisations.
- Experience of working on target-driven strategies.
- Strong instincts when it comes to marketing and communication.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A dynamic approach to organisational development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising your work load.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working with a wide range of people.
- Knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
- Experience of using business plans to stimulate growth.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience of partnership working across sectors and communities.
- A commitment to inclusion and diversity.

- Experience of working with funders, including Arts Council England.
