DESCRIPTION

The Securitised Products Group (SPG) team in London is seeking a Desk Quantitative Strategist at the Associate level, with experience in pricing/modelling of structured credit products, especially in asset backed securitizations.

The candidate is expected to be a key part in the SPG Trading Desk business, working on structured trades, developing tools and analytics in the context of portfolio analytics/pricing, market mapping and risk management. The candidate will work closely with Traders, Structurers and Sales, as well as with other Strat teams globally, and is expected to contribute with ideas and technical expertise. Excellent communication and consensus building skills are needed to translate front office business needs into clear, achievable deliverables by both strategist and technology teams. #LI-SD1

QUALIFICATIONS

In-depth understanding of quantitative modelling, valuation, and market behavior of structured credit products (mortgage, consumer, corporate, etc.).

Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics or a similar quantitative field is preferred.

Strong programming skills. Experience in Python, q/KDB, R, Excel (VBA) is helpful.

Experience of working with, and managing deliverables of, business partners such as Trading, Technology and Finance is helpful.
