Summary
Blessed Trinity RC College is a busy, over-subscribed, 1250 place 11-16 establishment. We have an amazing, purpose built school, enabling us to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities within a bright, modern facility.
The school is located in extensive grounds and is situated close to Burnley Town Centre. The school is easily accessed from across the region by bus, train and car and is located just five minutes drive from the M65, Junction 10.
The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a visually impaired pupil from September 2021, enabling them to experience achievement, independence and self- determination. Experience of working with visual impairments and writing braille is essential.
The role will involve working one-to-one with a visually impaired pupil, providing direct support as required, including:-

- Working in partnership with teachers in the planning of lessons including the adaptations, materials and direct support the pupil will need.
- Producing resources and ensuring they are available and utilised.
- Ensuring pupil safety when undertaking any physical activity, practical subjects and movement around the school building.
- Supporting on educational visits.
