About The Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Night Shift Operations Manager to join our team at our Rogerstone. As Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Manufacturing, and will drive the one-year plan based on operational strategy to continually improve the performance of the area.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Communicate and enforce all company policies and procedures relating to Safety, Health, Environment, Communication, Training, Risk Management and Discipline. Develop a close working and supportive relationship with your peer group, always opening and maintaining clear communication channels. Maintain the agreed company briefing and cell review schedule.
· Monitor, communicate and drive performance for service, quality, safety, waste, and variances.
· Challenging and improving labour utilization. Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve labour variance.
· Work planning and control within the Schedule and Production plan across the relevant areas. Maximising Area Efficiency Measures and KPI’s as appropriate.
· Financially accountable for the control of Raw Materials, Packaging, Labour and Distribution within the operation. Managing spend within limits. Identifying and implementing cost saving initiatives.
· Ensure that all plant and equipment receive the required PPM and Hygiene time/windows to deliver the expected availability and performance target.
· Managing direct reports against KPI’s, performance objectives and personal development plans. Challenge the team on key parameters to drive improved performance.
About You:
· Chilled Prepared Food experience (ready meals) in a fast-paced results driven environment
· Experience of business improvement tools
· Experience of manufacturing in a High Risk, High Care/ Raw Protein environment
· Experience with Multi-function responsibilities
· Experience of significant complexity of products and processes
· Used to a high level of NPD activity
· Leadership skills ability to develop and build strong teams
· Ability to drive performance through large teams
