Here at West Midlands Police we strive to retain talent and specialist skill sets. To ensure we meet this demand we have a range of exciting fixed term contracts to be made available to retired Police Officers and Staff from any UK Home Office Force.
Our Specialist Resourcing Bank Programme has been created to offer contracts on the basis of 3 – 6 months. Due to the importance of the service West Midlands Police deliver these contracts may come at short notice when requiring your skill set and we ask that you please be flexible and available at short notice The main departments that the Specialist Resourcing Bank work with for retired officers and staff are roles which require investigative experience within our Public Protection Unit (PPU), Intelligence department and Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID)
WMP covers a vast geographical area with our contracts being based across all departments within the force however we will always consider your preference around location and department when reviewing your application.

Vetting:
Any one interested in joining our Resourcing Bank will need to undergo the relevant vetting required for the role they are interested in. Although you may hold vetting already, depending on when you retired, this may be a change of circumstances form or undergoing a full RV/MV, this is determined case by case by our PSD department.
Medical:
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
