
Specialist pharmacist - Rotational Kettering
Job description
This is a really exciting time to join us at Kettering general Hospital. We are seeking to recruit an additional 4 rotational specialist pharmacists who will get the opportunity to rotate through highly specialised areas and develop their clinical and leadership skills.
Applicants from pharmacists that have completed or are working towards completion of a Pharmacy Clinical Diploma are welcome. In addition, we would actively support completion of the non-medical prescribing qualification, subject to funding.
Rotations will be 6 months in duration and will include rotating through medical and surgical wards, and ICU to deliver a quality clinical pharmacy service.
Successful applicants will also work alongside the Lead Pharmacist for Homecare services to gain a better understanding of the introduction and monitoring of High-Cost drug usage in the Trust. This includes ensuring that treatments supported by NICE technology appraisals and national commissioning policies are implemented within KGH according to the published recommendations.
In addition, successful applicants will also work alongside the Trust Medicine Assurance and Safety Lead to support Trust wide development, implementation and maintenance of quality and safety in medicine use, gain an in depth understanding of risk management and support compliance with medicines legislation policy.
