Job description
The pathology departments at University Hospitals North Tees and Hartlepool (NTH) and South Tees Hospitals (STH) are working collaboratively to develop a joint service called Tees Valley Pathology with services being delivered on all hospital sites.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with appropriate experience, knowledge and skills to join our scientific team and participate in the delivery of services provided by Cellular Pathology as part of the Tees Valley pathology Service operating out of University Hospital North Tees and Hartlepool Hospital, Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool Hospital, The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
Candidates for the Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) roles should be HCPC State Registered, hold an IBMS Specialist Portfolio and have experience of working various shifts across both core and non-core hours in their chosen discipline or have equivalent expertise that can be demonstrated on their application.
Consideration will be given to newly qualified HCPC candidates and those who are currently working towards these qualifications. These candidates will be employed at Band 5 pay scale.
