Special Needs Assistant Vacancy
Starting 4th September 2023
NJC Pay Scale point 5/6 pro rata, term time only (£15,872 - £16,523 depending on experience)
8.45am 3.35pm with a 1 hour lunchbreak (29 hours & 25 minutes a week)

The Jenny Hammond Primary School is looking to recruit 2 Special Needs Assistants to work with children with a high level of need either on a 1:1 or in small groups within the classroom. The position is for one year initially however there is potential for the contract to be extended.
You will be:
- NVQ2 Teaching/Special Needs Assistant or above qualified
- Experienced in working with children with special needs
- Confident and have the ability to work with children on a 1:1 or in small groups under the direction of the teacher or SENDco
- A positive and inspirational colleague who can use their initiative when required
- A team player who enjoys working co-operatively with colleagues and is committed to the role
