An opportunity has arisen within the SPA Team for an enthusiastic and team-minded administrator to provide Telephony and administrative support to Clinicians and community staff at Child Health.
Our Children’s Services in Bath and North East Somerset areas provide healthcare to children in and around the focussing on paediatric services and community clinics.
We are currently have both full and part time opportunities and would welcome candidates to get in touch to discuss any flexibility available. The role is based within our SPA team in Kempthorne House, St. Martin’s Hospital. The working pattern will be flexible, with the option for home working on a Rota basis once full training has been given.
Main Responsibilities- To provide initial screening of all referrals and notifications into the Single Point of Access (SPA) from GPs, Service Users, Parents, Carers and other partner organisations
- To manage and deal with referrals, including directing to the relevant professionals, carrying out call backs to referrers where necessary and recording referrals appropriately
- To provide a signposting service to the public with information on HCRG Care Group and alternative services provided by other statutory and voluntary agencies
- To collate and send information and appointment letters to patients in respect of booked appointments
- To reschedule appointments cancelled by patients or the organisation
You will need to be familiar with electronic patient management systems or similar systems of work. You will be required to work unassisted as well as take on additional tasks as and when required. Strong organisational skills are required along with self-motivation and a focus on the service-user experience.
This role demands considerable computer use and some Excel work although full training will be given.
