Based on the outskirts of Cambridge our client is looking for a Sous Chef to join them on their new venture. This is an exciting time to really display your talent within a newly refurbished, newly owned perfect country pub. Serving delicious food and fine wines in quintessential English surroundings.

As an experienced Sous Chef, you will understand that no 2 days are the same. You will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of all requested items in accordance with proper recipe and company guidelines. You will be awarded for your commitment and efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out any requests and orders from the Chefs.
  • Preparation of all requested items.
  • Has a complete understanding of UK work safety and emergency procedures.
  • Minimize waste and recycle as much as possible, always communicating with the Chefs.
  • Reporting any issues regarding product consistency, deliveries, quality to Chefs and Purchaser.
  • Fully understand the importance of and have the ability to utilize standard recipe cards and proper use of tools and techniques.
  • Storing, labelling and rotating prepped items properly.
  • Ensure that all food products are prepared to maintain our quality standards
  • consistently at all times resulting in positive feedback.
  • Ensure that all given tasks are completed daily before you leave for the day and that you communicate your departure with the Chefs.
  • Assure that all daily cleaning and organizational standards are met consistently throughout the day in both storage and production areas.
  • Perform all duties while following all UK health department sanitation requirements
  • Keep being motivated and crave for learning and perfecting his/ hers culinary skills, looking forward to grow and evolve as a professional.
  • Complete any other task given with enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism.
