About The Role
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 2 months initially, with possible extension
Salary: depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (we will consider flexible working - min. 3 days a week)
Location: Based at our Gas Ferry Road Studio in Bristol, (some remote working to be agreed with the line manager)
We're looking for a passionate sound designer and audio assistant who can join our team to assist with a range of projects within the studio. The role will focus especially on creating sound effects for games as well as for picture, alongside supporting our dubbing mixer with responsibilities such as setting up Pro Tools projects, importing AAFs and media and assisting with tracklay work for series and commercials.
About You
Candidates will need the following skills and experience for this position:
Essential:
- Excellent working knowledge of Pro Tools
- Keen creative ear and passion for storytelling through sound
- Excellent experience and understanding of creative sound design techniques and processes
- Wide knowledge of a range of audio processing plugins
- Clear understanding of EQ, Compression, Limiting, Gain staging, Loudness etc.
Preferred:
- Interest in video game sound especially preferable
- Experience in dialogue editing, processing, and mixing. Dialogue cleanup, de-noising, de-clipping etc.
- Some understanding of delivering to broadcast and online loudness standards
- Experience in animation encouraged.
- Experience using Izotope RX
- Strong working knowledge of both Mac & PC operating systems
