Role Description:
We are looking for exceptional candidates to join the Solution Engineering team within Global Public Sector (GPS) at Salesforce. This candidate will work with our most strategic customers to deeply understand their needs and goals to align the right solutions for their success. An SE Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to our customers, responsible for leveraging their industry experience to help demonstrate the power of the platform across Recruiting & Admissions use cases and opportunities. Additionally, this person will collaborate with cross-functional teams informing go-to-market strategy and delivery, enablement, and demo assets that support the larger SE team. If you possess a passion for education, applying and bringing strategic visions to life, critical thinking skills, and an unwavering commitment to customer success, you may be the ideal candidate for the job. Prior experience within the education industry and enterprise technology sales in the education sector is highly desirable. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
A typical day in the life of a GPS Solution Engineer looks like...
- Serve as a recruiting and admissions subject matter expert for education customers in the United States and globally.
- Partner with a team of Account Solution Engineers as an overlay to provide expertise in recruiting and admissions best practices.
- Understand the education institutions’ goals and challenges and map those back into the Salesforce product and solution portfolio.
- Plan and Deliver Workshops with customers at all levels including business users, IT, and executive leadership.
- Present the value of the Salesforce platform, including demonstrating deep familiarity with Salesforce products, technology, and security.
- Respond effectively to RFIs and RFPs.
- Participate in the right training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective.
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives that you will define collaboratively with your manager.
- Travel domestically for customer-facing meetings and presentations (Up to 25%).
- Function effectively in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment.
Necessary Skills
- 3+ years of experience in education recruiting and admissions best practices.
- Experience presenting technical concepts to audiences of various skill sets and levels within an organization.
- Expertise with Salesforce solutions or similar competitive technologies
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems.
- Innovative and driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proven time management & prioritization skills in a dynamic sales environment
- Knowledge of Cloud SaaS solutions, related applications, and web technology

- Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Education Cloud Consultant
