Sales Consultant
LOCATION – Greater Manchester Area

Start Solar is an industry-leading Solar Energy Provider covering the UK and Ireland. We specialise in Commercial & Residential Solar Systems, and have operations internationally in Australia, India, Ireland and the UK. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, our passionate team are experts in their field, with a wealth of knowledge on “everything” renewable energy and how to develop a bespoke solution.
Due to continued success, Start Solar now requires another experienced Sales Consultant to cover join the team.
Main responsibilities
- Sell solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers and energy efficiency services to consumers, businesses and industrial establishments in assigned area or territory.
- Creates new accounts and maintains existing accounts.
- Contact new and existing customers or clients to explain features and merits of solar power, solar systems, warranties, equipment and services, specifically addressing how solar panels will increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
- Define and manage an efficient sales and marketing system for the geographical areas of Greater Manchester.
- Identify and maintain regular contacts with new customers
- Constant monitoring of customers’ satisfaction level
- Uphold the company image to the highest standards
- Visit, organize and participate in specialised trade fair
- Issue commercial quotes following the Company’s guidelines and managing follow-up activities
- Perform market analysis in order to identify and new trends and behaviours
- Periodical analysis of main competitors.
Candidate pre-requisites
- Technical sales background
- Be target driven
- Comfortable in a sales environment
- Capability of following projects in autonomy
- Good interpersonal attitude
- Proactive and can-do attitude
- A strong background in sales of products for the industrial, engineering or renewables sector
The Company is looking to pay a strong basic salary for the right candidate, with an attractive OTE based on sales targets, package includes company vehicle, Mobile Phone and Laptop.
