What will I be doing day to day?
In a nutshell – you will have responsibility for ensuring our products work as intended when delivered to our customers.
You will ensure the successful definition, delivery and execution of testing plans, test scripts and testing reports for new modules and enhancements delivered to our customers.
This role includes:
- Working with our cross functional and development teams to review requirements and specifications to ensure quality.
- Performing the necessary quality assurance activities on all versions of software and patches prior to their release to customers, to ensure that the desired levels of product quality are maintained.
- Executing testing activities according to test plans with test assets, utilising both automated and manual testing methodologies
- Develop manual and automated test scripts to evaluate the status of the product and the progress of the development of new modules and features.
- Accurately recording test results
- Use our software as an end user to analyse it functional characteristics
- Defining and documenting testing needs and procedures

- Develop automated and manual test scripts for regression testing of the product.
- Initiating corrective actions to improve the quality of work.

What do I need to be eligible to apply?
You need.
- Proven work experience in software testing with experience working in customer focussed, cross functional development teams
- Ability to understand current application functionality along with new enhancements and to define the define their testing requirements.
- Experience coding, implementing, and executing software test scripts
- Generate test reports
- Knowledge of SQL with the ability to set up and review test data
- Currently hold independent right to work in the UK
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customer representatives from various areas and at all levels

It’s not a deal breaker but we would really like it if you also had:
Experience of Warehouse Management Systems or similar real time operational applications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar relevant field
Experience working with Windows and Linux
Knowledge of Selenium Web Runner or similar testing tools
Working knowledge of Python or java
Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
