Location: Hybrid working with 2 days per week in London Office (Oxford Street)
Role type: Fixed-term 6 month contract
Salary: Up to £55,000
One of the world’s leading producers and distributors of TV programmes are recruiting a Software Tester for a fixed term 6-month contract, to help play an integral part in delivering outstanding, customer-focused systems.
This role sits within the Systems Team who focus on the modernisation of systems and the successful candidate will use their testing skills to support and deliver enhancements for critical Sales and Rights project. This is a large data project.
You’ll be working with the development team to carry out testing, proving any new product enhancement or defect fix, ready for release. We are looking for a Tester that likes manual testing and takes an interest in the product and what it does. You’ll be a self-motivated tester who is analytical and self-driven whilst turning requirements into achievable test criteria. This role be working with developers, BAs and project teams to understand the deliverables and will at times also act as the link between the users and development teams involved with systems improvements and deployments.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience writing, managing, running tests, mainly manual with some automated.
Have demonstrable experience of using the following tests; Integration, Regression, Negative, Smoke, Acceptance
Experience of automated test tools e.g. Testbench, Test Director or similar.
Experience in manual testing of complex software systems during development and support.
Experience in manual testing of new and legacy systems.
Experience in managing defects/bugs using leading tools.
Experience in writing test plans, executing them, analysing results and preparing relevant reports.
Experience with issue or bug tracking systems (e.g. TRAC).

This is a hybrid role which will require 1-2 days per week in their Central London office. Benefits include:
