Life at Liaison
The team is remote based, working from home across multiple parts of the country. They regularly communicate virtually, working collaboratively to develop multiple products. We recognise that development and training opportunities are imperative to thrive in a technical environment and have time set aside for comprehensive training opportunities. This enables our IT team to take a study day twice a month to advance their skills.

Job Summary
You will support the implementation and maintenance of Liaison Workforce System. Using manual and automated testing tools as necessary and helping to further promote test drive development.
Within the role you will plan your own workload and scope/requirements, analysing functional and technical specifications and user stories to derive test cases and scenarios.
Working within 2-week Sprints, you will work on refinement of the user stories alongside the Product Owners and Developers, ensuring that you share ideas and work collaboratively to enable the products to become ‘World Class’.
*Please note – the role will start in the Interop’s team during an integration project and then move across to the mobile team thereafter*
Principal Tasks & Activities
- Undertake test planning activities for Agile deliveries.
- Add test scripts and maintain Automated test framework.
- Plan own workload and scope/requirements.
- Analyse functional and technical specifications and user stories to derive test cases and scenarios.
- Participate in document and peer reviews.
- Agree test scope and scenarios with key stakeholder/clients.
- Identify issues and risks relating to workload, escalate these appropriately and provide suggested mitigating actions.
- Prepare input test data and expected results.
- Review own test conditions, test scripts / user stories, input test data, and expected results for all test phases.
- Effectively prepare regression, ad hoc and re-tests as required.
- Ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write test cases and document results in accordance with company standards.
- Help refine user stories by working with the product owner and developers.
The Individual
- You will have some previous commercial experience in Software testing, including web and mobile (IOS/Android).
- You will also have knowledge or experience of the agile development processes (e.g., Scrum), knowledge and practical experience of test tools and industry standard best practice and experience in, and understanding of, the software development process, preferably in a web based (SAAS) environment.
- Some automation experience is essential, but this area will be developed further once in the role.
- You will be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, ensuring that you work productively from home. You must have good attention to detail and be inquisitive in nature.
- You will also hold an ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (or equivalent/or above).
