An exciting opportunity has become available to lead and develop the Kitchen Brigade at the Delta by Marriott and be part of an agile and dynamic group of hotels looking to continue its rapid expansion.As Head Chef you’ll direct all kitchen activities and prepare our delicious food - helping create memorable experiences for guests - whenever and wherever they dine. You’ll also ensure quality, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions kept to our high standards - to make sure your kitchen is always running smoothly.Responsibilities Include but not Limited To:Direct daily kitchen activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbersDevelop your team and improve their performance through coaching, feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues to recognise good performanceRecommend or initiate any HR related actions where neededDrive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create a sense of one teamPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of kitchen needs and ensure timely responses to requestsYou’ll make sure our dishes are always at their best - we have standards - but it’s down to you to make that dish special and memorable for guestsKeep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation to develop your own ideas in the kitchenMake sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely – always keep stock replenished to minimise wasteEnsure that all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properlyAlways follow governmental regulations and company policies and proceduresComplete forecasts, plans, and departmental production reports for managementHelp prepare the hotel’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goalsMaintain costing and documentation of all dishes prepared and sold from the kitchenTo be successful in this role you will have:5 years’ experience as a Head Chef with a Hotel EnvironmentThe ability to work autonomously and to drive the business as if it were your ownA strong commercial acumen.Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across of levelsIn addition to an industry leading salary and benefit package, you will also benefit from:Full Marriott induction and training plus extensive development programmesStaff discount scheme across Marriott and company hotelsPerformance related Bonus SchemeJob Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £43,000.00-£47,000.00 per yearBenefits:Discounted or free foodEmployee discountFree parkingOn-site parkingSupplemental pay types:Bonus schemePerformance bonusWork authorisation:United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: pbhc1
