iQ HealthTech provides one of the world’s leading electronic cancer medications prescribing systems called iQemo. Our customers include some of the world’s leading and innovative hospitals in the field of cancer treatment.
Due to company growth, we are recruiting for a software tester to join our remote team. Successful applicants will be supporting the development of our e-prescribing application as we transform it into cutting-edge microservices. You will be involved in the planning, development and execution of new tests and test scenarios.
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ real world experience testing web applications. You will work closely with the test lead, product owner and developers to design and develop automated tests and scenarios to test the functionality and behaviour. You will have prior knowledge of automated testing, load testing and API testing methodologies.

The recruitment process aims to create and maintain a safe workforce and contains robust vetting procedures. The successful applicant will be appointed subject to references and a basic DBS check.
Duties and responsibilities
As a software tester, you will be responsible for:
- Design, creation and ongoing maintenance of Automated and Manual Test cases and scenarios in JIRA and test automation software.
- Work with the Product Owner to support the documentation of User Story acceptance test creation.
- Carry out testing of current functionality of a product during development cycles.
- Logging of defects found during test cycles, including providing intuitive defect reproduction steps for developers.
- Testing of Bugs and other issues found during UAT periods by customers and logging as required.
- Produce documented evidence of test execution results.
- Support the production of test execution reports.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies.
Skills
Essential
- At least 5 years' experience as a software tester testing web applications.
- Be able to demonstrate real world experience using test automation technologies (Test Complete/Telerik Test Studio/Selenium/Load Runner).
- Experience of testing APIs.
- Experience of automated load testing.
Desirable but not essential
- Experience of using JIRA.
- CI/CD pipelines – Azure DevOps.
- Healthcare technologies (HL7, FHIR, OpenEHR) would be an advantage.
- Behaviour driven development languages (BDD) e.g. Gherkin.
