POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically inclined individual to join our Software Support team. This entry-level position is well-suited for recent graduates or those with some software support experience who are looking to further their career.
As a Software Support Engineer, you will work in a dynamic software engineering environment, troubleshooting and resolving software support investigations. Our customer base spans across various countries and cultures, ranging from multi-national financial institutions to local community banks in both mature established and developing markets. While your primary communication will be with internal local technical teams that support our customers, there may be instances when you will need to interact with customers directly.
We are looking for an adaptable and progressive individual who is eager to expand their technical and personal skillset. This role requires working in a varied environment with constantly evolving technologies, customer base, and problems.
The successful candidate will receive training, mentorship, and support on NCR's proprietary software products.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide software support to NCR’s financial Self-Service software products
- Maintaining ownership of software support investigations, debugging to product and component/configuration level, this can include recreating in a lab environment when necessary
- Coordinate communications between all relevant teams as part of that support investigation
- Understanding and driving customer-focused requirements to provide a satisfactory solution to the reporting technical team
- Managing multiple support incidents of varying complexity and stages of investigation at any given time with the principle focus of customer satisfaction in mind
- Create knowledge articles within NCR’s Knowledge Base
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role the candidate must possess the following level of education and experience –
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Some experience in software support or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
