Software Quality Assurance Engineer (12 month maternity cover)
We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Change and Technology department on a 12-month maternity cover, full time basis, 35 hours per week.
The team are working across a range of new applications for Golden Charter and its UK network of independent funeral directors. This is a relatively new space for digital technology and, as a result, we are in a domain which encourages new, innovative solutions. As a member of the team you’ll be expected to help research and shape these opportunities, deliver products which help the entire industry move forward.

Responsibilities:
- Work with team to ensure quality of new and existing applications in a CI/CD environment.
- Coach the team in their approach to testing, across the full development lifecycle.
- Lead the team in building out our automated test capability.
- Automated Test tools and techniques.
- Participation in iterative and incremental software development in BDD and Agile environments.
- Experience of testing web-based applications: front-end, back-end and E2E — from manual, exploratory techniques, through to automated, regression coverage.
Essential criteria:
- Experience in cloud-based containerised applications.
- Agile/Lean development principles
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of testing web-based applications: Front-end, Back-end / E2E

Salary: £43,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
