About the role
We are currently recruiting Software Quality and Test Engineers across multiple teams here at Calyx! As Software Quality and Test Engineer, you will work as part of a cross-functional Agile team to define and write automated test solutions using a behavioural driven approach. You will help to troubleshoot functional & performance issues in both development and production cloud-native systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with some previous test automation experience, preferably using C# .NET & Selenium, to build upon their knowledge and take the next step in their testing career.
We can consider candidates on both a hybrid and remote working basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a cross-functional Agile development team consisting software engineers, testers (software quality assurance engineers), architects and product owners to deliver robust software solutions
- Approach work with a mindset that embraces Agile principles and culture
- Follow and encourage strong software testing practices such as BDD, TDD CI, CD and pair programming
- Reviews requirements and specifications and defines test conditions.
- Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes.
- Help to troubleshoot functional and performance issues in both development and production systems
- Analyse test results and identifies and reports any issues and risks associated
- Ensure project deliverables (software and documentation) achieve the industry regulatory and company standards
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within definition of tests using a behavioral-driven testing approach and Gherkin, preferably using SpecFlow
- Skilled in development of test automation using .NET C# and a framework such as Selenium
- Some experience testing cloud-native applications preferably using Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of building tests for web applications, Rest APIs and services
- Ability to execute tests accurately and capture evidence
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to apply critical thinking to problems and tasks
