Main responsibilities:
Line management of software developers and QA, including: mentor/coach, allocate work/initiate projects, performance management and development reviews (including training provision)- Responsibility for ensuring software development is carried out to quality, time and budget
- Continuous improvements across the whole software development life cycle: design, quoting, development, testing, implementation
- Work with peers/colleagues within EDM/adjacent departments to ensure goals are met
- All aspects of software development work including database design and maintenance
- Design and quoting developments
- Introducing new as well as determining most appropriate technologies and development tools
Required Skills/Attributes:
Strong line management/people development skills- Technical expertise on the MS platform and other technologies used by EDM products
- Essential - MS SQL Server
- Essential - .Net Core & C#
- Essential - Web development technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, (Vue.JS or React.JS or Angula.JS)
- Desirable - Windows Forms
- Someone with a passion for the business, technology and software development
- Lateral thinker, able to create innovative solutions to complex problems
- Able to recognise, praise, reward, celebrate success
- Someone who leads by example
