Role:
2023 Summer Internship - C++ Engineer Intern, London
We are seeking highly motivated university students to join our team, Customer Managed Platform. As an intern, you will work on a real project (or a few) and have an opportunity to enjoy our dynamic, startup-like environment. You will get invaluable experience working with a globally distributed engineering team that develops and continually improves Splunk Enterprise, Splunk's core offering that collects and analyses high volumes of machine-generated data. You will work with team members in a variety of locations, so excellent team collaboration is important.
You will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. Working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our values-driven process. Our goal is both to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career.
Responsibilities:
- You will achieve goals set for you in the beginning of the internship by your mentor
- You will have the opportunity to learn Splunk, both the product and the company
- You will socialise with the other interns as well as full-timers
- You will experience a fun environment at Splunk and enjoy your time learning new skills to better suit your goals
What we are looking for:
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and/or Windows OSs. Linux is preferred
- Have good knowledge of programming in C++ focusing in the backend
- You have expertise in version control systems such as Git or similar
- Bring strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Show your enthusiasm for solving interesting problems to the team
- You enjoy collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment

What to expect during the interview process:
- Once your application has been received, we will conduct an initial review of your resume. Status updates will be provided throughout the process.
- If selected you will be taken through a three stage interview process where if you are successful you will be offered a position with us.
You’re eligible to apply if you:
- Are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, & Mathematics or a related technical field
- Must be an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2023- June 2024
- Have a minimum 2.2 degree (or equivalent) at an accredited university/college
- Are business proficient in English. Proficiency in additional European languages is highly desirable.
