Software Engineer
Reporting to: Head of IT
Full time (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum DOE

We are working on expanding our network across the United Kingdom, and we’re looking for the right people to help us get it done.
Reporting to the Head of IT, we are looking for an IT Support Engineer with a keen interest on developing their technical skills to help us in delivering an exceptional IT experience to our rapidly expanding team spread across the UK.
About the Job:
Reporting to the Head of IT, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help us in building industry-leading network automation for both our wholesale and retail service provider network, with a keen eye for efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining React/Node.JS (bonus points for TypeScript) applications and APIs
- Helping identify key areas in the network in need of automation
- Integrating with external systems via APIs (REST) or specialised protocols (NETCONF/RESTCONF)
- Occasionally travelling around the UK for systems/network-related duties (sometimes with overnight hotel stays - fully paid, of course)
- Experience in building scalable REST APIs, ideally using microservice architecture
- Experience with at least one RDBMS (we use a combination of PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB)
- Extensive experience in at least two programming languages (we are primarily using TypeScript)
- Experience with React.JS, HTML, and CSS
- You must be capable of working both independently and as a team, and be creative with new ways for us to automate our network
- Experience working with Git (or similar) in a team
And ideally:
- Experience working with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
- Network automation using RESTCONF, NETCONF, SNMP, and/or SSH
- The basics of networking such as subnetting, routing & switching
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database system (we use a combination of MongoDB and Redis)
- Experience with NestJS
- Deploying microservice applications using Kubernetes
