LexisNexis UK are looking for a C# Software Engineer with full stack .NET experience to join a team that is responsible for building our Legal Library product solutions.
Our Legal engineering community is a diverse group of around 30 people split into three teams, developing the next generation of Legal research products. You’ll be working on a product led team focusing on the Legal products within LexisNexis. We constantly iterate on our ways of working & technology platforms to improve our delivery performance and product offerings. We practice CI/CD, TDD, TBD and operate autonomous teams that are free to decide their local ways of working. Our teams are friendly, supportive and highly motivated, from day one expect to be in stand-ups and all team ceremonies. We run pair programming as standard, enabling you to make an immediate positive contribution.
We’re looking for someone who wants to get things done, learn new things, and who wants to be a better engineer tomorrow than they are today. The skills and technologies required below are a reflection of what we do today and will evolve over time. We’re not expecting you to have mastered each of these before applying – what you don’t know we can help you learn, and we’re always learning too so you may bring skills that aren’t listed.
Experience required:
- Experience working with C# ( .NET)
- Experience building RESTful APIs (especially ASP.NET Web APIs)
- Experience building good-looking and responsive web front-ends, working with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.
- Ideally with experience using Test-Driven Development (TDD)
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Having a good understanding at a general level of the technical stack and how aspects of the solution work together to realize overall objective.
- Proactively using test and deployment automation to assure quality of delivered software
- Engaging with product managers and wider stakeholders to ensure we continue to develop features of value for customers and business
- Driving and advocating continuous professional development throughout the team
- Drive to achieve a high level of competency and ability across a varied technical toolset, in accordance with the systems in use.
- Working with complex data models
- Completing complex bug fixes
