About this opportunity

A great opportunity has arisen in the Banking Lab for a Front End Software Engineer, within the Everyday Banking Platform.

Everyday Banking is a key platform for Lloyds Banking Group with a very broad reach across the Bank’s customer base and a diverse stakeholder group. The platform is responsible for the end-to-end journeys for personal current accounts and savings products to consumers, and providing a market leading customer experience through the servicing of Debit and Credit cards through multiple channels. The platform also includes the Core Banking System and Vault Banking Products labs who support the run and change needed to operate all core banking products for the LBG brands, product APIs, transaction and statement services that are needed for channel interactions.
  • Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
  • Find and address performance issues.
  • Collaborate with the product/design team to iterate the design function and implement the products
  • Collaborate with Backend and DevOps Engineers to build features and experiments
What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience with current account opening journeys
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as Reactjs, Redux, Webpack; ideally with experience of maintenance / upgrading historic versions
  • Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
  • Experience on Front-End test automation
  • Familiarity with server-side REST APIs and JSON
  • CI/CD/DevOps tooling experience e.g., GIT, Cypress, JUnit etc.
  • Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
