Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and work on Wireless Logic's cutting-edge Mobile data connectivity platform, SIMPro, and core network Conexa. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java and PHP, with additional experience in the Node JS nest framework and JavaScript frameworks like Angular being advantageous. We value flexibility, open-mindedness, and excellent communication skills in our team members.

Our Tech Stack

You will be working with a diverse tech stack, including Java (Spring), PHP (Symfony 4), Angular 12, Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Apache Solr, Node JS, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting and enhancing existing applications while contributing to the development of new features.
• Collaborating in an agile development team, participating in code reviews, and providing mentorship to junior developers.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation to ensure smooth project operations.
• Writing tests for your code and improving test coverage for our applications.
• Contributing to architectural and code review discussions to drive improvements in our engineering ecosystem.

Required Skills:

To succeed in this position, you should have:

• At least 3 years of experience with the Java Spring framework.
• Prior experience working with PHP, ideally with the Symfony framework.
• Proficiency in writing testable and maintainable code, with an understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) as a plus.
• Experience in developing and integrating with both REST and SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile principles, such as Scrum.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Microservices.
• Ability to design and develop SQL queries.

Desired Skills:

Having experience in the following areas would be highly beneficial:

• RabbitMQ and Kafka for efficient message queuing.
• Apache Solr for powerful search functionality.
• Frontend JavaScript Frameworks, with a focus on Angular.
• Familiarity with SOLID design principles to ensure robust software architecture.
• Knowledge of software security practices like BSIMM / OWASP.
• Experience with Node JS, particularly the Nest framework.
