What you’ll do
We are looking for a Security Engineering Specialist with skills in Splunk SIEM solutions to work with our Security Engineering team. The function is responsible for delivering a first-class service to clients that promotes retention of accounts. Your typical responsibilities will be:
- Provide day-to-day guidance, support and training to Security Engineers, including conducting technical 1-2-1’s on a regular basis.
- Provide a technical point of escalation for the Security Engineers for complex requests or when there are challenges with a client.
- Ensure that a high-quality, timely and pro-active service is delivered to the set of clients assigned to their team.
- Within a designated area of expertise and with limited supervision, provide customers with support to develop and enhance their security controls and capabilities. This will include:
- Performing data analysis to determine how best to meet desired security controls
- Testing to ensure that the proposed technical solution works and resolving any issues in advance of go live into the production system
- Configuring, maintaining and enhancing the toolset in accordance with the customer’s needs
- Creating documentation such as policies, processes, toolkits, dashboards and management information to support the services offered to customers.
- Provide subject matter expertise to projects by proactively identifying and assessing gaps in security controls and providing / implementing appropriate technical solutions to address customer requirements.
- Share appropriate information relating to area of expertise with both the internal and external technical community.
With a broad range of experience as a Security Engineering Specialist, you can potentially progress into a technical leadership role as an Engineering Lead. Alternatively, you can transfer into a more customer facing role and become a Consultant, provided you have experience or potential to develop your consultancy skills.
What you’ll bring
You will be an experienced Senior Security Engineer who has developed sufficient knowledge and experience to operate with limited supervision and provide guidance to others.
You will also have a high level of technical knowledge and experience to prepare and deliver presentations / workshops to customers and audiences at external conferences and events.
You will have a deep understanding of SIEM/SOAR/EDR/VM/TI technologies and SME in one or more.
This is a home-based role although there may be occasional requests to travel to your local office or client sites.
