Visa Payments Ltd (VPL) is a division of Visa Inc. focusing on cross border push payments to bank accounts. We are looking for a Software Engineer (Associate) to work within our Product Develoment team. You will be working within a scrum team on the core platform delivering product features and enhancements. We are also evolving the architecture and tooling for the platform and you will have opportunities to continue developing your own skillsets and technologies along this journey.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Proficiency in Java 8+ (Core Java, memory management, concurrency,
- Experience in Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Experience in GIT, Maven, Jenkins or such build automation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative software development
- Experience with at least one Relational and/or NoSQL database.
- Experience with JavaScript and front-end technologies/frameworks like
- Proficient in the use of an IDE – IntelliJ preferred.
- Experience using Jira and confluence.
