Loughborough University IT Services is looking for an experienced Software Engineer, with a strong, demonstratable background in software development and service management, to join our Student Information Systems Team. You will possess strong communication, problem-solving and relationship building skills, as well as having a deep technical background, with an innovative and collaborative approach to delivering a service. This will enable you to develop a set of products and deliver a service, which conform to the Product Management approach, are highly valued, and continually adapt to meet the needs of the university’s business stakeholders.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and management of at least one key service, supplied to the university, by the Student Information Systems Team, within IT Services. In this role, you will be responsible for the university’s Timetabling Systems, undertaking and contributing to the in-house software development, system documentation, user support, business analysis, and project administration tasks. You will therefore preferably, have experience and an appreciation of working in the Higher Education (HE) sector.
