The role:

Cado Security is looking for a full time software engineer to help build our products.

You can be focused on the frontend, the backend or full-stack. Whatever part of the codebase you’re contributing to you’ll be expected to work closely with colleagues across the Cado team to help set the direction for the product and company.

Our tech stack:

  • Backend: Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Redis, AWS/Azure/GCP, Cloudformation & Terraform
  • Frontend: Typescript, React, TailwindCSS, Cypress, Jest, NextJS
  • We invest heavily in automated testing and CI allowing us to ship multiple releases per week.

What you'll do:

  • Exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of your team.
  • Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have particular impact across your team and others.
  • Actively seek out difficult impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions that will enable the entire team to iterate faster.
  • Author project plans for epics.
  • Take ownership of longer running projects, and provide progress updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively investigate, fix and make improvements to prevent recurrence of customer bugs and build failures across the entire codebase. Make it easier for developers across your team and others to diagnose bugs.

A qualified candidate has:

- 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer

- Experience building and shipping reliable software.

- Some experience with either Python or React. You don’t need to be an expert, but especially for more senior candidates we’ll expect you to demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals in the interview.

- We don't require cyber-security industry specific experience.
