The Team
At ScottishPower, we are facing many challenges and are committed to continually improving our processes and technology to support our customers. You will be part of the Centre of Excellence, which is a multi-discipline engineering team of around 100 talented individuals. We drive the delivery of software solutions to meet the fast-moving needs of the business. We are looking for like-minded people to join us on our journey.
What you'll do
Our software engineers work closely with the business teams to deliver technical solutions to our problems, which are often complex and difficult to solve.
Our Tech Stack
- Programming Languages
- Primary language is TypeScript (or JavaScript, depending on the project)
- React with Redux
- Java (based web applications)
- NodeJS (for RESTful APIs)
- ABAP
- Architecture
- Microservices approach to back-end architecture
- Jenkins and Github
- Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts
- Cybersecurity and Monitoring
- SonarQube, Grafana and Prometheus
What you'll bring
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, similar technical field of study (high qualifications are essential), or equivalent practical experience
Experience building software solutions in a corporate or start-up engineering environment, or equivalent, using industry-standard languages.
Genesys cloud certification required
