Software Development Summer Internship 2023

Duration: 12 weeks (June – September)

The internship programme is geared toward a structured learning environment giving students direct experience in working on real problems within a supportive team environment.
Whatever the project or team you join, you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive group where you can learn from some of the best minds in the industry. You’ll learn new technologies and implement your ideas to produce tools and solutions that directly impact our business operations.
Here are a few examples of the advanced functional and technology challenges that you will be involved in:
- Analyzing requirement needs to create new software(s) or to improve existing one(s)
- Run feasibility studies and design software technology(ies)
- Develop software(s) by following Watchfinder’s standards and quality guidelines
- Present your solutions to various stakeholders and Product Managers
- Run unit and performance tests to ensure reliability
- Go through the validation phases to ensure new features are functioning.
- Fine-tune our software(s) as a result of all tests
- Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issuing it to the requesting departments.

In Order to be successful in this role you will have:
- Currently studying a degree in a Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Principles.
- Knowledge or experience of using an object-orientated language (such as C# or .Net) and/or web technologies (such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Angular).
- Familiarity with unit testing and test automation in general.
- Appreciation of current and emerging technologies.
- A quick learner and team player
- Analytical and enjoy using logic to solve problems
Your journey with us:
Once you’ve submitted your application, our Talent team shall review and shortlist your application. You with then be invited to participate in a recorded video interview which will be sent out straight to your email. In this, we would like you to answer a few questions via video and one written.
If you’ve met our criteria, you will then be move forward to the next stage and be asked to complete another assessment. These will be sent via an email link and will give us further information on your application.
We will then do a final review of your application and if successful, invite you to an Assessment Centre.
