What will you do?
Technology is vital to our firm and we are in an exciting period of development and transformation. Reporting to the IT Development Manager this role will be critical in implementing system changes to maximise the operational effectiveness of the business. The right candidate will be able to see the bigger picture in relation to process and software development and the part this plays in ensuring we deliver exceptional legal experiences to our clients.
You will be based in our central Plymouth office with flexibility to work from home part of the week after a period of training.
What do you offer?
The candidate must be organised, comfortable working in an accelerated environment, demonstrate the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders and be driven to scale an existing team to meet our growth and performance objectives.
The ideal candidate will have law/professional service firm experience.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of:
- Exposure to system architecture and design, able to understand the relationships and integration between existing systems.
- Database administration and development: Implementation, maintenance, documentation and support of SQL databases;
- Writing computer code;
- Enhancement and automation of data flows between systems;
- Develop new applications and maintain/enhance existing ones in line with the development roadmap.
- Performing trials, testing and quality checks to ensure strong functionality and optimisation.
- Retrieve data and structure management reports, ideally with some experience of PowerBI (although not essential)
