Key Responsibilities:
United is seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Developer with experience designing and developing high-performing, large scale applications. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in
understanding business requirements, lead the design and development to launch efficient systems and solutions. The Senior Developer has extensive knowledge/experience with Visual Basic 6, .NET Core, and Angular, along with a passion for learning emerging technologies. You will collaborate across teams to solve problems, identify opportunities and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Senior Developer is self-sufficient, requires no direct supervision, and mentors/coaches others.
- Lead the support of the critical EZR (reservations) application
- Act as technical lead for junior developers, lead code reviews, etc.
- Assist development efforts in modernizing the legacy application using .NET/C#, Angular, and AWS
- Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles, versioning and version control, software packaging and software release management
- Provide operational support for critical applications as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions and Works/Consults across multiple projects
- Work closely with other technical teams and business leaders
- Offer early morning or evening support occasionally due to team geography

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- 5+ or more years of experience in application design, development and implementation
- 5+ years of Visual Basic Experience (including VB 6)
- 2+ years of Experience building software with .NET/C# and Angular
- Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, DynamoDB)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience using AWS, DynamoDB, or Datadog
- Experience with Agile methodology
