Full Time London, England 70000 - 60000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

How’d you like the sound of working on a brand-new team, without any technical debt or legacy-code to worry about maintaining, focusing entirely on greenfield projects?

Sounds great, right?

Well, you’d find yourself working with a team in Central London, who are building an underwriting platform, entirely from scratch, and need your help!

You’ll spend your days working with .NET Core, C# and Azure (Functions, Storage, KeyVault, Cosmos DB, Web App, Logic App) etc.

It’s a “Full-Stack” role, but like most, it’s back-end heavy.

They use Blazor on the front-end, which you wouldn’t need experience with (just the willingness to learn) – but ideally, you’ll have exposure with another framework (Vue, React or Angular etc.)

You’ll probably have an appreciation for doing things the right way, following best practices and design patterns, TDD and CI/CD (they use GitHub Actions, not Azure DevOps - but exposure with either would be welcomed).

There’s a good chance you’ll have used Entity Framework and ideally have some familiarity with Bicep or Terraform (they use Bicep) – although it won’t be the end of the world if you haven’t.

Salary wise, it pays anywhere from £60,000-£70,000 DOE, plus a package which includes a 12% bonus, and private medical/dental, with a sprinkle of others on top to boot.

For the first 3 months or so, you’ll work in the office 3 times a week (a stones throw from The Gherkin) whilst you find your feet – but that’ll drop to once a week afterwards.

Interview wise, it’s pretty straightforward.

The first stage is more technical, no technical/take home tests to worry about, just a chat to make sure you know what you’re talking about. The final stage would focus more on checking you’re the right team fit etc.

Unfortunately, they can’t offer sponsorship.

If the role looks of interest, get in touch with Jack Leeming @ Optima Dev for a chat.
