You will be a trusted expert to HR and business/other stakeholders on all aspects of complex advisory and case management, recognised as a true subject matter expert.

This will primarily include managing the end to end case management of disciplinaries, grievances and investigations, to act as the ER representative at meetings, to produce and/or review high quality reports and to prepare documentation.

High level role scope

  • Improve on critical commercial outcomes by proactively identifying challenges and managing risks associated with individual cases, being prepared to challenge and be challenged
  • Work effectively within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution; and demonstrate a willingness to support and cover for other team members as required to provide a seamless service to the business

Detailed role scope

  • Analysing issues, providing accurate advice and solutions on an independent basis, setting expectations, communicating status, responding to concerns and providing support throughout
  • Attendance and participation at formal meetings, drafting correspondence, and providing solutions based on current legislation, best practice and in line with business needs by driving a consistent application of our policies and processes
  • Support the end to end process for high level/sensitive terminations/exits, including drafting settlement agreements and liaising with external lawyers
  • Collectively own the case management tool (ServiceNow), ensuring accurate and timely input, utilising data to track and report ER trends proactively. Supports senior case management team and ER Operations Lead in provision of detailed reporting on ER activity to identify trends and to enable the business to make informed decisions in line with reporting requirements across a range of stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Coach and develop our People Leaders and HR colleagues to maximise their confidence, capability and consistency of approach in respect of all sensitive ER matters
  • Work with our HR colleagues to ensure recommendations and learnings from specific cases are communicated, implemented and monitored as appropriate

  • Comprehensive understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Experience of end to end case management
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks with clarity and creditability
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive proactive solutions and the development of MI would be highly desirable, not critical
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to use own initiative to progress issues and to identify continual opportunities for improvement, through a lessons learned mindset to case management
